The Emergency Assistance Benefits are issued by Inter Partner Assistance Hong Kong Limited (IPA) in consideration of your participation in the Medical Scheme of MassMutual Asia Limited. The following services will be provided when insured Members traveling outside his/her country of residence.

Medical Assistance

  1. Telephone Medical Attention, Advice and Evacuation
  2. Dispatch of Essential Medication and Medical Equipment
  3. Arrangement for Appointments with Doctors
  4. Arrangement for Hospital Admission
  5. Monitoring of Medical Condition During Hospitalization
  6. Advance of Hospital Admittance Deposit During Hospitalization (up to a limit of HK$80,000)

Evacuation and Repatriation Services

  1. Arrangement and Payment for Emergency Medical Evacuation
  2. Arrangement and Payment for Emergency Medical Repatriation to the Country of Residence or to available hospitals at nearest location
  3. Arrangement and Payment for Repatriation of Mortal Remains from the place of death to Country of Residence, provided Insured Member shall surrender any unused portion of his/her air ticket to IPA

    Others
    1. Compassionate Visit if Insured Member is hospitalized for over 7 consecutive days and accommodation shall be arranged in any reasonable hotel up to HK$1,200 per day for a maximum of 5 consecutive days excluding any room services cost
    2. Arrangement for the return of Unattended Dependent Children (under 16 years of age) if Insured Member is hospitalized
    3. Arrangement for a necessary return in the event of the death of Insured Member's Close Relative
    4. House Call/Dental/Baby Sitting/Nurse Referral
    5. Hotel Accommodation for Convalescence of an ordinary room up to US$150 per day for a maximum of 5 consecutive days immediately after discharge from hospital
    PRC Hospital Admission Guarantee (Subject to the provision of this benefit under your Medical Scheme)
    1. Arrangement to the nearest Hospital under the appointed China Hospitals Network. You can simply (1) place a call by IDD to IPA’s Alarm Centre located in Hong Kong at (852) 2851 1990 for assistance or (2) present your Masshealth Card to the Accident & Emergency Department of the Network Hospital for admission.
    2. Provide guarantee for the required admission deposit by hospital so that no delay in admission will be caused. The Insured Member shall fully settle all medical expenses incurred during his/her hospitalization upon discharge.
